As other types of weight loss surgery the Lap Band system is adjustable and
can be easily adjusted after surgery to meet patient’s necessities. The length, width or height in short diameter of the band is adjustable for a modified weight-loss rate.
For example, pregnant patients can enlarge their band to provide somewhere to stay a growing foetus, while patients having band who aren't experiencing significant weight loss can have their bands tightened.
